Things to do in Boston
Back Bay - is affluent Boston at its best, boasting landmarks like Copley Square, the Prudential Center, and the Public Library. Peruse boutiques on Newbury Street, stroll down Commonwealth Ave., or spend your evening out at one of the local lively bars or restaurants.
Beacon Hill - is one of Boston's smallest and most historic neighborhoods, featuring a mix of grand townhouses and fashionable shops. Stroll down Charles Street to spy pricey antique shops, enticing cafes, and swanky clothing boutiques.
Chinatown - In the 1880s, the first Chinese immigrants arrived in Boston, pitching their tents in what is now known as "Ping On Alley." Today, nestled between Downtown Crossing and the South End, Chinatown provides visitors with a variety of Asian history and cuisine.
Downtown Crossing - is an eclectic mix of historic sites, shopping, and hip restaurants and clubs. Sift through the bargain shelves of the Brattle Book Shop, watch musical street performers, visit the Old South Meeting House, or enjoy a fine meal at one of the numerous award-winning restaurants in the neighborhood.
Faneuil Hall - has been a marketplace and meeting spot for over 250 years. Bordered by the waterfront, Government Center, Haymarket and the North End, the neighborhood is known for its huge shopping area, sidewalk performances during the summer, and a well-traveled part of Boston's "Freedom Trail."
Fenway/Kenmore Square - Bordered by Mission Hill, Columbus Avenue, and the Back Bay Fens, the jewel of the Fenway neighborhood is Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. Eat out near the park, head to Kenmore Square, or check out the artistic offerings at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum or the or the Museum of Fine Arts.
Fort Point - The Boston waterfront is a vibrant destination with attractions for all ages and interests, including performances at the Bank of America Pavilion, Harpoon Brewery tasting tours, and more.
Harvard Square - A bustling center of activity, Harvard Square embodies all that is Cambridge. Students and academics mix with tourists and locals to crowd the sidewalks and restaurants on weekends and evenings, while the streets are more relaxed during the week.
South End - Home to elegant Victorian brick row houses, many dating from the 1800s, and one of the most diverse populations in Boston, the South End blends many of the best elements of the city. Some of the city's finest dining can be found lining Tremont Street and the arts shine at the Calderwood Pavilion and the Boston Center for the Arts.
North End - Here, the streets are narrow and compact, and there is history – Old North Church, Paul Revere’s house, burial grounds – seemingly around every corner. The neighborhood is packed with restaurants, virtually all of them Italian, and the locals carefully maintain their deeply-rooted ties to Italian culture.

Unique Boston Tourist Attractions
The Duck Tour - I think this is the absolute best tourist attraction in Boston. The "DUCK"in question is a World War II amphibious vehicle and it tours you all around Boston seeing some of the most famous sights of the city. There's a tour guide aboard, who will give you a great narration of Boston history then, towards the end, the DUCK will actually leave land and head into the Charles River. Really cool - literally.
Quincy Market and Fanueil Hall - definitely a place you must see. Quincy Market is an enormous two storey building that houses tons of restaurants, cafes, food shops etc. Here you can get some of the best and most reasonable food in Boston. Also, at each end of the market there are two open-air areas where, any day of the week, you will be able to see street performers - jugglers, musicians, mime artists and more. A great place for lunch and then some after-lunch entertainment.
Fenway Park - maybe not so unique but it's uniquely Boston and a place that every Bostonian is so proud of. Home of the Red Sox, you've got to see a game while you're in town. If they're not at home, you still need to do the Fenway tour. So, head down to Fenway Park, check out an amazing piece of sports history and buy something at the gift shop while you're at it.
The Sam Adams Brewery Tour - come on, if you like beer, you can't miss the Sam Adams Brewery Tour. This is the original Samuel Adams Brewery (there are more around the country now), and the tour is free. When you get there you get a couple of small glasses of Sam Adams beer (two different types) to try, then you get to see how the beer is made. At the end of the tour, you'll get a couple more samples and get to leave with some special Sam Adams commemorative glasses.
